Who are we looking for

We are looking for a bright, enthusiastic and capable HR Advisor to provide administrative and generalist advisory HR support to our Hong Kong office.  This role provides the opportunity to work in closely with key decision makers, creativity through the participation of recruitment campaigns and broader projects, as well as provide essential support to our staff. 

The HR team works collaboratively to support the business in a true business partnering model.  You will have a varied and dynamic role providing essential support to all of our divisions as well as across the wider generalist HR team.  The varied nature of this role means that as well as providing key administrative support, you will also have a business facing role requiring you to liaise and build key relationships across the firm.  

Areas of focus and responsibilities

Compliance

  • Act as the first point of contact for the HK Law Society and handle related matters (eg, Practising Certificate renewals, notification of change, RFL and OLQE applications).
  • Coordination of visa applications and renewals for employees

Learning & Development

  • Assist the Global L&D team in co-ordinating CPD seminars for HK
  • Support in the management of CPD points for HK qualified lawyers

Talent Acquisition

  • Assist the APAC Talent Acquisition Manager (TAM) in the recruitment process for the Hong Kong office:
    • first point of contact for candidates and conduct recruitment assessments;
    • scheduling of interviews and complete reference checks; and
    • support in conducting interviews for legal and support roles
  • With the support of the TAM and HK HR Manager, coordinate trainee/graduate recruitment programs including:
    • campus recruitment campaigns
    • Interview scheduling and supporting on student interviews
    • Onboarding of trainees/graduates and coordinating 'seat' rotations
    • Organising intern events 

General support

  • Provide general support and managing employee life cycle (from on boarding to offboarding);
  • Assist in payroll calculation, as well as administration of the Firm's compensation and benefits offering;
  • Maintain and update HRIS (SelectHR) as needed;
  • Annual project support in an administrative capacity (eg. annual salary review, performance appraisals); and
  • Ad hoc project work at both regional and global level.

Qualifications required

  • 3-5 years working experience in either a Law Firm or a Professional Services Firm
  • The ideal candidate will have strong HR administration experience within a professional services organisation
  • Highly PC literate with strong systems skills
  • Must have excellent Excel and Word skills
